Twenty years in the making! Taiwan's second tallest building "Taipei Twin Star Tower" will debut in 2027.
As part of a major redevelopment project in the Taipei Station area, the Taipei Twin Star Tower (C1/D1 land development project), which was announced in 2006, will officially begin construction in 2022 and is scheduled for completion in 2027. In addition to providing an all-encompassing consumer experience, the most eye-catching feature of the main building is that it will surpass the Xinyi district's "Taipei Sky Tower" in terms of height, making it the second-tallest in Taipei City, and the second-tallest in Taiwan. 01 Taipei Twin Star Building: Taiwan's second tallest building

According to the official website of Taipei Twinstar and information provided by Taipei Twinstar Public Relations, the Taipei Twinstar Building is a complex of two skyscraper towers that combine shopping, entertainment, hotel, office, and art space to provide a full range of complexes. With a base area of 9,600 ping and a total floor area of 170,000 ping, the C1 tower is 53 stories high (base area: 13,078 square meters) and the D1 tower is 70 stories high (base area: 18,515 square meters). It is estimated that the project will take 20 years to complete and will surpass the Taipei Sky Tower in Xinyi District to become the second tallest building in Taipei City and the second tallest building in Taiwan.

02 Taipei Twin Star Building: Designed by Kenya Hara, MUJI

As one of Taiwan's new iconic buildings, the Taipei Twin Star Company was designed by a team of heavyweights, including SOM Architects and Designers (an American architectural firm), three major joint architectural firms, Yongjun Engineering Consultants, and Colliers International, and was constructed by Chunghwa Engineering, Hwa Hsiung Construction, and Jiu Nien Construction, and its logo was designed by Kenya Hara, the art director of Muji Muji. 03 Taipei Twin Star Building: Combining the Six Railways into a Common System

As the future landmark high-rise in Taipei's Central District, the Taipei Twin Star Building will be built at a total cost of NT$60.6 billion, and in the future there will be a "sky platform" connecting the two buildings to each other. This is not only a commercial office building, but will also be integrated with the six-rail transit system, with the Taoyuan Airport MRT Taipei Station on the third basement level, and connected to the Taipei Station (Taiwan Railway, High Speed Rail, and Beijin MRT) as well as the MRT Beimen Station.

04 Taipei Twin Star Building: Creating 100 Billion Dollar Economic Value

The Taipei Twin Star Building has become one of the largest construction projects in Taipei City in recent years, and when it opens, it will bring tremendous economic benefits to the Zhongzheng District. It is expected to bring about $1.87 billion in rental income and $1.46 billion in tax revenue to the city government annually, create an economic value of more than $100 billion, further promote regional economic development, and provide 16,000 job opportunities. The Taipei Twin Star Building is scheduled for completion in 2027.
