The Taipei Twins is scheduled for completion in 2027! This iconic building in Taipei City's Zhongzheng District is a $60.6 billion project that combines the six railroads into a single structure and is being built by a team of top domestic and international experts. It will not only reshape the capital city's skyline, but also play an important role as the gateway to Taiwan.

Taipei Twins C1 and D1 land development project, which was launched in 2006 and has taken 16 years to complete, will be officially opened in 2022. The project will be built by Taipei Twins, a joint venture between Clevo Computer and Grand Gateway Group, and will be a perfect fusion of business, entertainment, art and technology, providing a full range of consumer experiences, with facilities that include a luxury department store, a star-rated hotel, Michelin-starred Panorama Restaurant, office space and a 2,500 square meter urban art gallery. Taipei Double Star 8 Highlights

01 New Capital Landmark 

Designed with the concept of "Gateway to the Nation - Landmark of the Capital", Taipei Twin Star is the core project of the Gateway to the Western District of Taipei City. This complex of two skyscraper towers has a base area of 9,600 ping, with the C1 building being 53-stories high and the D1 building being 70-stories high, with a total floor area of 170,000 ping. Upon completion, the twin towers will be the second tallest in Taipei and Taiwan, revolutionizing Taipei's city skyline.

02 Six-rail co-organization, linking and integrating the neighbouring districts

Taipei Twinstar is located in the specific area of Taipei Station, which has a unique transportation advantage. It is an important hub for the Taiwan Railway, the Taiwan High Speed Rail, the Airport Express and three MRT lines, with an estimated daily commute of over 500,000 people. The project also includes a double-story elevated pedestrian promenade connecting to Taipei Station, a multi-functional garden terrace, and a large public cultural space called the Public Civic Hall. The design is inspired by the old Jialou Street, which will connect Taipei Station with Beimen and Da Dao Cheng, integrating the neighboring districts to create a common cultural life circle.

03 The cost of the project is as high as $60.6 billion.

With a total investment of $60.6 billion, the Taipei Twinstar is one of the largest construction projects in Taipei City in recent years. This amazing investment will not only be realized in the building itself, but will also bring huge economic benefits to the entire Zhongzheng District. It is estimated that the project will bring about $1.87 billion in rental income and $1.46 billion in tax revenue to the city government annually, and create an economic value of more than 100 billion yuan.

04 Networking SOM, Sanda, Kenya Hara and other well-known design teams

In order to create this world-class landmark, Taipei Twin Star has gathered top domestic and international teams, including well-known organizations such as SOM Design Associates (U.S.A.), Three Associated Architects (U.S.A.), Nai Muen Kogyo, Husband Retail, Yongjun Engineering Consultants, Hua Xiong Construction, China Engineering, Jiu Nian Construction, and TaiYen Planning & Design Consultants. With Kenya Hara personally designing the logo, this strong international lineup will bring the most cutting-edge architectural design and engineering technology to Taipei.

05 360-degree infinity observation deck overlooking the city

The Taipei Twin Stars will feature a 360-degree panoramic observation deck, which will be combined with a digital multimedia presentation experience to give visitors a full view of Taipei City. From Seven Star Mountain to Taipei 101, and from Dadaocheng to Xinyi District, visitors will be able to see the entire Taipei Basin.

06 Dedicated to becoming the first smart green building benchmark in Taipei

With the goal of becoming the first building in Taipei to be certified as a LEED, WELL and EEWH green building and smart building at the same time, Taipei Twinstar has responded to the trend of ESG for commercial real estate in international locations and around the world, and has committed itself to environmental protection and energy conservation, net-zero carbon emissions, safety and sustainability, and smart management to strengthen its resilience to the environment, while at the same time significantly improving its energy efficiency.

07 Introduction of AI and personalized services in shopping malls 

Taipei Twinstar Mall is the first to introduce AI technology, which provides personalized recommendation services tailored to customers' preferences, whether it's guiding the way to a floor, booking a restaurant, or shopping for merchandise. Customers can also use APP voice input to find brands, store counters, service facilities and other spaces.

08 Provide 16,000 jobs upon completion of the project 

Taipei Twinstar is not just a construction project, it is also a huge job creator. Upon completion, it is expected to provide about 16,000 job opportunities in Taipei City. These jobs cover a wide range of areas including retail, food and beverage, hospitality, and office, injecting new energy into Taipei's job market.
